I never really played these low stakes regularly as I transitioned into PLO from midstakes NLHE, so I am also looking forward to see what the player pool and dynamics are nowadays in the low stakes.
While we want to get to $5k as soon as possible, we are still playing a solid strategy and making adjustments for the high rake structure and weaker player pool at these stakes.
The challenge starts off well after we pick up some beautiful double suited Aces and win a big 3-way, 4-bet pot, moving up almost immediately to 50plo.
With our $100 bankroll, we start off losing a bit of money after playing two hands from the big blind. We grind it up after winning some small pots and chopping a big one.
A few hands later I open the button off 50bbs, we get three-bet by the big blind 5678ss, we get it in on a flop of Q73r flop verus a surprising weak hand, A745 single suited. We don't improve and lose on of our stacks, leaving us with one table.
After a river bluff goes wrong, we manage to double up our 25bb stack to 50bbs by flopping a set and getting it in on the turn.
The challenge sadly ends after we three-bet double suited A597ds and getting a button cold-call with AT84. The flop brings an A85r and with a little over SPR 2, we get it in and can't hit to win the hand.
Shoutout to @cazzettee and @carloshmz, good luck at the tables!
