There was plenty of action at the table, as most players were not looking to fold preflop. Pots were building fast and stacks were deep.
I was one of the shortest stacks at the table with $5k or 100 big blinds. There were players sitting down with over $20k and blasting away. Coming from the online territory, these games looked easy although this also means the variance can be pretty high as winning pots without showdown is more rare.
There were a bunch of spots where we ended up putting in money with the best hand but not able to hold on the runouts. Still, it was a great game and I'm looking forward to coming back and crushing the live games, especially with the weekend coming up.
Here are some of the most interesting hands I played. I ended the session down three full stacks, or $15k. Nothing too shocking when you are buying in for 100 big blinds. A few different runouts and it could have easily been a profitable session.
Let me know what you guys think about my play and what other poker rooms I should be checking out. This game was too small for Bobby's Room, but I am looking to eventually get in there and battle before the trip is over. Will keep you updated if I do. Let's go!
