Was bedeutet Wrap? Definition im Poker-Glossar

Wrap beim Omaha

Wenn man beim Omaha von einem "Wrap" spricht, meint man einen Straight-Draw mit vielen Outs.

Ein detailliertes Beispiel:

13 Outs, alle zu den Nuts: Von den besseren Straight-Draws kommt der 13-Out's-Straight-Draw am Häufigsten vor. Wenn man 4 Karten in aufsteigender Reihenfolge hält, die 2 Board-Karten umschließen, nennt man das gerne einen Wrap.

Mit hätte man auf einem X-Flop 13 Outs zum Nut-Straight, also zur bestmöglichen Strasse: 4 Dreien, 3 Vieren, 3 Siebenen und 3 Achten.

Solch eine Hand hat also viel Potential, sich auf Turn oder River zu verbessern. Ein Drilling dagegen läge zwar aktuell vorne, hätte aber nur geringes Verbesserungs-Potential auf den weiteren Strassen.

Weitere Beispiele:

  • 16 Outs, alle zu den Nuts: 9864 auf einem 75x-Flop
  • 17 Outs, davon aber nur 11 zu den Nuts: 985x auf einem 76x-Flop
  • 20 Outs, davon aber nur 14 zu den Nuts: T965 auf einem 87x-Flop
